What are the requirements to attend AAOPM aesthetic training courses?

AAOPM aesthetic training courses are designed for licensed healthcare professionals including Physicians (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), Registered Nurses (RN), and Dentists (DDS/DMD). Attendees must hold an active medical license in their respective field.

How long are the aesthetic training courses?

Most AAOPM aesthetic courses are 1-2 days in length. Single-procedure courses like PRP and Sclerotherapy are typically 1 day, while comprehensive courses like Botox Training and Dermal Filler Training are 2 days to ensure adequate hands-on practice time.

Do I receive CME credits for completing aesthetic training?

Yes, all AAOPM courses are CME-accredited. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion along with the appropriate CME credits for your profession. The number of credits varies by course length and content.

Is the training hands-on or lecture-based?

AAOPM aesthetic training courses start at $699 for livestream courses and $1,299 for in-person hands-on training. We also offer membership packages that provide unlimited access to all courses, which can significantly reduce your training investment.

Can nurses perform Botox and filler injections?

Yes, in most states Nurse Practitioners can independently perform Botox and dermal filler injections. Registered Nurses typically need to work under physician supervision. Requirements vary by state, and AAOPM training ensures you understand the scope of practice regulations in your area.

What certification do I receive after completing the course?

Upon completion, you receive a Certificate of Completion from the American Academy of Procedural Medicine, CME credits, and eligibility for board certification pathways. AAOPM also offers aesthetic medicine board certification for physicians who complete the required coursework.
